Cancun - Playa del Carmen - Isla Mujeres - Tulum - Coba - Chichen Itza

8 days from $1869 per person. Fully Escorted Tour. Discover mystical Mayan Ruins by bicycle in the southern tip of Mexico, known as the Yucatan Peninsula. Highlights include Chichen Itza, Coba and Isla Mujeres. Our bicycle tour and active trips are designed for vacationers seeking a unique mix of culture, nature and adventure.

Day 1: Arrive Cancun


Arrival at the international airport of Cancun. A local representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. After a lovely dinner, you will receive a brief introduction to the tourist attractions of the area, the culture and traditions of Mexico as well as a summary of the forthcoming tour, all the routes, roads, rules, support, meals, accommodation and entertainment. Overnight in Cancun. (D)

Day 2: Cancun - Isla Mujeres - Cancun (32 km bike ride)


After breakfast you will start the ride on the ferry to Isla Mujeres. Arrive in Isla Mujeres and cycle around the island, before entering part of the second largest reef in the world where you can snorkel. After snorkeling and a great lunch, cycle back to the ferry and take it back to Cancun. From there you can return to your hotel. Overnight in Cancun. (B, L)

Day 3: Tulum - Sian Kaan - Tulum (35 km bike ride)

Breakfast at the hotel. The minibus takes you to Tulum to visit this unique archaeological site, surrounded by ancient ruins and a magnificent view of the Caribbean sea. From Tulum you cycle to Sian Ka'an. In this Biosphere Reserve you will have the chance to go kayaking and learn about local ecology. From a 15 meter high control tower you can enjoy a magnificent view of the entire the reserve. After lunch in the reserve, you will cycle back to your hotel in Los Lirios, near Tulum. Dinner at the hotel. (B, L, D)

Day 4: Tulum - Coba (64 km bike ride)

Today we bike to Coba. On the way we will pause in the stunning blue, crystal waters of the Gran Cenote to snorkel. Lunch at a restaurant in Coba. In the afternoon we visit the famous archaeological site of Coba. Dinner at Club Med. Optional evening activity - night hike to see crocodiles in the lagoon. Overnight in Coba. (B, L, D)

Day 5: Coba - Valladolid (61 km bike ride)


Enjoy a morning optional activity - bird watching in Coba. From Coba city we go the colonial city of Valladolid. On the way there you will come across several Maya villages. Today you can also cool off in a Cenote. Finally we reach our hotel Meson del Marques in Valladolid, which is located on the main square. In the afternoon, you can take a city tour and discover the magnificent wall paintings, the Museum of Valladolid, the church and the environment of this colonial city. Overnight in Valladolid. (B)

Day 6: Valladolid - Chichen Itza (61 km bike ride)

After breakfast, a bike ride from the colonial city of Valladolid to the most important archaeological site of the Mayan world, Chichen Itza. Pass through the journey unique Maya villages and impressive churches. In the afternoon visit the Chichen Itza archaeological site. Overnight near Chichen Itza. Optional activity - light dinner and Tonshow at Chichen Itza. (B)

Day 7: Xcaret - Playa del Carmen

Breakfast at hotel. Today we go to Xcaret, "ESS-CAR-RET ', an eco park, where you will spend the entire day. This park is fun for its water attractions and its well-known entertainment. Highlights include two rivers, one of which is connected with an underground passage to the bird house, butterfly and mushroom farms, an aquarium and extensive outdoor entertainment. The evening entertainment is included in the entry fee. What you should not miss is the the fabulous, popular Xcaret night show in the amphitheater from 19:00 clock to 21:00 clock. Overnight in Playa del Carmen. (B)

Day 8: Depart Cancun

Transfer to the Cancun International Airport or to your onward journey. (B)
